Welcome to celebrate Easter on an isolated island at the edge of the sea, with waves, winds and hopefully spring sunshine.
What we can guarantee is an Easter celebration in a special place with unique food experiences inspired by Easter traditions, prepared with love by our eminent chef Johan Bengtsson.
On Good Friday you are welcomed in the small harbor after a fresh reef trip out on the fjord. You will be accommodated in one of our award-winning rooms in the lighthouse keeper's home. Then there is time for a tour of the island with stories about the lighthouse, the lighthouse people and the island's dramatic history. The tour ends in the wine cellar where welcome champagne is served.
The lunch on Good Friday is followed by an Easter-inspired archipelago lunch with the absolute best combinations of herring and schnapps and everything associated with Easter.
In the evening, dinner is served in Fyrmästaren's boathouse, where your taste buds are once again enhanced with a 4-course menu with fish, lamb, asparagus and other flavors associated with Easter. After dinner, dessert and coffee are served, and perhaps something strong in the lighthouse keeper's lounge...
On Easter Eve, after a good night's sleep, a big breakfast with homemade and freshly brewed coffee or tea is served in the Fyrmästaren dining room.
Change into a robe and experience salty baths in the sea or in the island's two heated hot tubs and warm up in the sauna with a striking view of the horizon.
Or go up to a height of 32 meters and experience the lighthouse's different shapes, lights and wonderful views. For those who just want to be, the lighthouse master's lounge offers space for socializing, board games and a sea view of Marstrand. We guarantee that the island offers fantastic views, places and activities that will enhance your senses.
The stay is Easter-themed, perhaps an Easter egg for the little ones or Easter candy and punch for the adults in the party.
The Easter egg is actually a symbol of fertility - of spring and all budding new life. Hear stories of Easter traditions in the past, when Easter bonfires were lit on the cliffs of Bohuslän to send a friendly greeting to seafarers out at sea, while in true Bohuslän tradition the Easter rice was used for chastisement.
We have not adopted the latter tradition at Pater Noster, but you will hear more about the Easter celebrations on the West Coast on the island...
The cost of other drinks will be added. All prices are exclusive of VAT for companies, inclusive of VAT for individuals.
Cancellation policy: in case of cancellation 60 days before arrival, 25% of the total amount of the booking will be charged. For cancellations made between 30 days and 15 days before arrival, 75% of the total amount of the booking will be charged. If cancelled less than 14 days before arrival, 100% of the total amount of the booking will be charged.
