In 2024, Ulf Wagner celebrated 50 years in the service of gastronomy. He was the first person in Gothenburg to be awarded a star in the Michelin Guide, which happened in 1989 at the restaurant The Place. More stars followed, for both Basement and Sjömagasinet.
As one of Sweden's most influential restaurateurs, he has run award-winning restaurants in Sweden and internationally, and has been named Sweden's best sommelier. Ulf is also a familiar face on television, including as a castle chef in ten seasons of "Stjärnorna på slottet" and a participant in "Kockarnas kamp".
With passion, commitment and a unique ability to combine tradition with innovation, he continues to shape Swedish gastronomy - and we are incredibly proud to welcome him to Pater Noster!
